Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 2nd of March 2025
We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how Queens Challenge ("the App") handles user data and ensures transparency about our practices.
1. Information We Collect
Queens Challenge has two distinct modes of operation regarding data collection:
1.1 Standard Mode (No Data Collection)
By default, the App operates without collecting any personal information:
- Game progress, high scores, and settings are stored locally on your device.
- No personal identification information is transmitted to our servers.
- We do not track your gameplay or behavior within the App.
1.2 Leaderboard Mode (Optional)
Users may explicitly opt into our global leaderboard feature. If you choose to participate, we collect:
- Player Name: The display name you provide when joining the leaderboard.
- High Score: Your game scores for ranking purposes.
- Device Type: The operating system of your device (e.g., iOS, Android).
- Unique Identifier: A randomly generated ID to differentiate players (not tied to your device ID).
- Timestamp: When your scores were submitted.
- Country: Your country, if you choose to share this information for flag display purposes. If not already available in your game, this feature will be introduced in later versions.
2. How We Use Your Information
If you opt into the leaderboard feature, we use your information solely for:
- Displaying your name and score on the global leaderboard.
- Ranking players based on their performance.
- Showing your country flag alongside your entry (if provided).
- Maintaining the integrity of the leaderboard.
We do not use this information for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose beyond leaderboard functionality.
3. User Control and Data Management
We provide you with full control over your leaderboard participation:
- Participation is entirely optional and requires explicit opt-in.
- You can edit your display name at any time.
- You can leave the leaderboard at any time, which will remove your data from our servers.
- When you leave the leaderboard, your high score is reset locally.
4. Data Storage and Security
Leaderboard data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore:
- Data is transmitted securely using HTTPS.
- Access to this data is restricted to authorized app developers only.
- We implement appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access.
- We do not share your data with third parties.
5. Advertising
Our App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. These advertisements:
- May use non-personally identifiable information (such as device information or general location) to serve relevant ads.
- Are managed by Google, and their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. For more details, please review Google's Privacy Policy.
- Do not have access to your leaderboard data or other app-specific information.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App is suitable for all ages but does not specifically target children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us to have it removed.
